In 1911, a Swiss psychiatrist named Euglen Bleuler, was the first person to use the term Autism. Then in the 1940's, researchers in the United States began to use the term "Autism" to describe children with emotional or social problems.
Autism is a non- deadly devolpmental disorder that appears in the early stages of life and affects the brain's development and centreal nervous system; having many diffrent variations which effect the social interaction and communication of victims.

Having unusual distress when routines are changed
Show unusual attachements to objects
Gross Motor Coordination Difficulties
HypersensitivityRepetitive Behavior
Being overly sensitive in sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste

They do not know what caused Autism but people believe it is because of Vaccinations, Genetics, and Enviromental causes.

There are diffrent degrees of Autism
Autistic Disorder- problems with social interaction, communication disorder. (normal autism)
Asperger Syndrome- these people have problems with communication, they have social problems and limited scopes od interest
Pervasive developmental disorder of PDD- atypical autism
Rett Syndrome- very diffrent from regulaur Autism only occurs in females, begin to develop normally, but then they begin to lose their skills between the ages 1-4.
Childhood disintegrative disorder- rare, when a child learns to learn skills, then loses them by age 10.

You can tell if your child has Autism by doing a series of tests and evaluations. Types of tests include...

Treatment
There is no initial treatment but early intervention, Some parents use medications to help control their child's unpredicted behaviors. A commonly used medication for aggresion is risperdone.
